Just before the Covid pandemic, a Pew Research Center study showed that only one-third of Catholics believed in the True Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. The Covid crisis led to a rapid attrition in Mass attendance, illustrating the crisis of faith in the Eucharist. Many found watching Mass preferable to attending in person.
We at the Augustine Institute resolve to assist the Church in proclaiming the good news about Jesus Christ and his True Presence in the Eucharist. Indeed, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has asked the Augustine Institute to be its partner for the Eucharistic Revival. Through this partnership, we will create and distribute two all-new series about the Eucharist, plus support the USCCB in hosting the Eucharistic Congress in July 2024.
